概述:

UvsY is a bacteriophage T4 recombination mediator protein (RMP) which promotes homologous recombination. UvsY exists in solution predominantly as a hexamer, and binds to ssDNA in this form. UvsY facilitates assembly of presynaptic filaments by loading UvsX recombinase onto ssDNA and the concomitant displacement of Gp32 ssDNA-binding protein from ssDNA (1,2).
